Each group will continue to work in their teams.
We've re-written the assignment, so that it can easily be incorporated into your holiday shopping!

PART 1
Based on comments from last class, refine/finalize your publication prototypes.
Place emphasis on
Lay-out design
Type
Images
Information organization
The use of space, page size
Is it a beautiful, dynamic, and effortless looking lay-out?
Book design
Binding
Paper
Cover (hard or soft, cloth or paper, etc.)
Title treatment
Is the book beautiful to stand alone (without its packaging)?

PART 2
Gather material samples for every single part of your publication.
Materials can be swatches or can be another product that you buy or have or borrow. The point is to see what you’re really going for even if you cannot make it yourself.
Case – plastic sample, sample of printing on the plastic, any treatments on plastic, etc.
Paper – paper samples (what weight, shiny, matte, color, etc.), printing on paper, treatments, etc.

Case closures
Binding – bring in books that show your binding
